SuitePOS is a point of sale built specifically for NetSuite. It combines a native Apple iOS POS application with NetSuite-native components to deliver fast in-store checkout while keeping NetSuite as the system of record.

What type of retails is SuitePOS Designed for?

SuitePOS is designed for specialty retail, general merchandise, and quick-service environments that require fast checkout and real-time inventory visibility, including multi-store and high-SKU operations. This includes counter-service and high-throughput environments where speed and simplicity are critical.

What industries is SuitePOS not designed for?

SuitePOS is purpose-built for retail and is not designed for full-service restaurants, hospitality, or appointment-based businesses.

updates and maintenance

How is SuitePOS updated?

SuitePOS is updated through iOS application updates and NetSuite-side configuration, with ongoing improvements delivered as part of the subscription. App updates can be deployed directly or managed through standard Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions such as Mosyle, AirWatch, or Cisco Meraki.

NetSuite-side updates are managed using the SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF), ensuring controlled, versioned deployments aligned with NetSuite best practices. SuitePOS is maintained in alignment with NetSuite releases, with an emphasis on backward compatibility to support smooth upgrades.

Unlike fully browser-based POS systems, SuitePOS allows organizations to plan and roll out updates on their own schedule, providing greater control over deployment timing and store readiness.
